Yes, project managers are in demand in the UK across all industries. As organisations and businesses change and adapt to new technoglogies such as AI and automation, this creates openings for many different project management roles. Global competition to adopt new technologies places pressures on organisations which in turn means that project management will continue to be an area of growth.
According to the UK Office for National Statistics, project manager roles are projected to grow by 7 percent from 2023 to 2033, outpacing the average for all jobs. Annually, approximately 77,000 openings are expected as current workers change careers or retire.
